Clash Bashing Exclusive Interview
It's been in the works for quite some time now, but Playmakers Wanted is happy to announce Clash Bashing as an official endorser and affiliate. You can check out his channel which recently surpassed 300K subscribers.
We have been waiting to launch a new series where we interview "playmakers" within the community to hear their stories and get to know them beyond their public persona. Below is an impromptu 4:00 AM Discord conversation turned interview, so pardon the punctuation. Moving forward we are looking to use a podcast format but for now you'll have to read.

Early Days
Teske22
Did you ever imagine clash players from all over the world would be tuning in to watch you stream and record clash of clans?
Clash Bashing
It's crazy to think about honestly
Teske22
how long have you been creating content for?
Clash Bashing
4 years. I never expected this to be my full time job, and never thought I'd even get to 100k subs
Teske22
at what point were you like "this could be something"?
Clash Bashing
So like when I was first starting I was recently laid off...i started it to pass the time and i always wanted a channel. Then I was working part time and started streaming and streaming really started to supplement the income. Then pushing stream traffic to youtube helped it grow and it just took off
Teske22
you were originally streaming on twitch?
Clash Bashing
A site called kamcord
Teske22
oh boy, i've never even heard of it before lol
Clash Bashing
Yeah it didn't last long. They brought in a lot of coc tubers so the coc audience was nice
Teske22
have to take the opportunities as they come though
Clash Bashing
When it ended I was literally their top streamer
Teske22
they should have sent you a commemorative shirt 😉
Clash Bashing
I had one idk whatever happened to it lol
Teske22
well hopefully my jerseys don't have the same fate!
Inspiration & Newcomers
Teske22
I've never been too in tune with streamers and what's going on. To me, Powerbang and Jake from OneHive were the OG's of Clash content ... how do they play into your journey? Like, did you guys overlap at all? Were you before/after them?
Clash Bashing
I was shortly after they started. Clash with Cam was huge inspiration for my channel
Teske22
I'm not familiar ... I'll have to check him out. Is he a friend or just someone you were looking up to and benchmarking?
Clash Bashing
One of the first wave of clash tubers where Pb (Powerbang) is essentially in the second wave
Teske22
ahh ... who else would you consider in the first wave?
Clash Bashing
Galadon godson pat mystic7 guys like that
Teske22
Gotcha, I've actually at least heard of them all. Go me. I hope they all received a Dunrite shirt/hat as well 😛
Clash Bashing
So you really look up to like Jake and pb...I've met some people that that's their guys and were super sad when they left
Teske22
I actually never really watched much content. I always liked figuring it out on my own I guess.
Clash Bashing
Nothin wrong with that
Teske22
I think the first jake video I watched was his retirement video lol
Clash Bashing
😂
Teske22
but i have talked to him a little and went back and watched some of his older stuff. Ended up doing those shirts and hats for him, obviously. Have any up and coming clash streamers or youtubers caught your eye for any reason?
Clash Bashing
Carbon and Eric are gonna do well they have the huge clan names behind them and know their stuff
Clash Bashing
I talk with 1 tiny channel in particular
Teske22
yeah, seeing those clans generate quality after quality even after the clan changes hands is incredible. good on them
Teske22
which channel is that?
Clash Bashing
Fonz Gaming...hes one of my patreon members so Ive kinda taken him under my wing, but hes tiny and trying to find his footing still
The Right Reasons
Teske22
Yeah, takes time to find your niche. If you had to give one bit of advice to an up and coming streamer, what would it be?
Clash Bashing
Don't do it because you're trying to make money in the beginning. Gotta enjoy what you're doing first before worrying about money
Teske22
i can relate to that
Clash Bashing
I see so many people asking like how much can I make or how fast can I make it and thats just the wrong approach for gaming content imo
Teske22
My main business is a screen printing and embroidery shop, but I hardly even pay attention to it. Playmakers Wanted is in the same industry but focusing on video games, which I love, so it doesn't even feel like work.
Clash Bashing
yeah that makes a ton of sense
Teske22
I've learned so much from my experience with clash ... I can't even put it into words
Clash Bashing
coc is interesting in that way it provides so much for so many different people
Teske22
yeah, it's one of the most unique games I've ever seen. Different people enjoy it for all sorts of reasons
Teske22
From simple socializing, to village progression, to competing in wars, recruiting, managing people, and now competitive esports. And that's probably only a fraction of the full list.
Clash Bashing
yep its crazy
Teske22
There's probably still stones unturned in the clash world. communities we have yet to see
Teske22
discord changed everything
Teske22
for me at least. Before discord people we using all sorts of stuff, but the community didn't come together until war leagues, and war leagues were only possible because of discord and maybe JV lol
Clash Bashing
Line was the tool before discord
Clash Bashing
but discord made organization so much easier
Teske22
yeah that's what i meant
Teske22
i'm not sure if CWL was born on discord but i know for sure MLCW was on band app first. I was actually the guy that made their discord server and brought them over haha
Clash Bashing
nah cwl was before discord
Teske22
did they start on LINE?
Clash Bashing
I think so
Teske22
my clan started on groupme 😃
Teske22
well, we can agree that discord definitely helped bring the community together. I think we're in the middle of another migration towards inclusion
Teske22
The new legends league is definitely bringing together the trophy pushing and the elite war community. The crazy thing is that those two communities don't really know a lot about each other.
Clash Bashing
yeah very true
Shameless Self Promotion
Teske22
one last question ... for now 😈
Teske22
when you first saw the name playmakers wanted, what did you picture? or what does the name mean to you?
Clash Bashing
I mean if im being completely honest I didnt think aboutthe name too much, I just look at what the company has to offer. If I think about the name I almost think physical sports almost feels like a madden slogan...like EA Sports its in the game type of feel...hopefully thats not offensive lol
Teske22
i'm inquisitive. being inquisitive and offended by answers would be an awful combo ... especially in an interview.
Clash Bashing
True
Teske22
and not really offended. I WANT a competitive gamer to feel that way. I guess that's kind of the point of the name and the mission and vision and all that
Teske22
Mission: To express the gamer lifestyle.
Teske22
Vision: Playmakers Wanted provides a medium for gamers to express the feeling of a clutch play, close call, nail-biting finish, or the humor of an epic fail. We remember our video games fondly and even more importantly the people we gamed with and those times in our lives. To a gamer, our memories are defined just as much by the game we are playing during that time, as it is by our current life stage; whether it be high school, college, a certain job, where you lived, or the people in your life at the time, the game we played during those moments is what connects it all.
Clash Bashing
I like that
===
Teske22
i'll reword things so they make sense in the context of an interview
Clash Bashing
Absolutely, I trust you know what you're doing with it
Teske22
yeah, i have grammarly
